Tess Water has acquired the water source by damming the natural spring water from Falang Mountain, located 9 miles west of Tachiliek township in Shan State (Eastern).
Water from the water source is transported to a water treatment plant built 8 kilometers away from the dam using a natural water pressure system. The incoming raw water is checked and mixed with chlorine and alum according to the ratio required to achieve the specified water quality. Slow mixing system and sedimentation system are used for sedimentation. After the sedimentation system, the clear surface liquid is obtained and sent to the water filter tank with 7 layers filtration system.
Before sending the water from the water filter to the water tank, it is chemically tested again to meet the quality standards set by the WHO and international water supply. When the water becomes of sufficient quality, it is transported to the reservoir and stored and distributed by natural water pressure so that the people of Tachileik can use it.
Currently for urban water production and distribution, the water reservoir can store 2,000 cubic meters and distribute 10,000 cubic meters of water daily. The quality of the water released from our water storage tank is -
The amount of silt is less than (5) NTU.
The pH value (acidity – salinity) is between 6.5 – 8.5.
